Rideshare platform Ola rides wave of transport options at Perth Airport
Perth Airport Chief Corporate Services Officer Debra Blaskett said the introduction of Ola is about bringing more choice to airport customers helping to make the travel experience for passengers as easy as possible.
“Ola will add to the variety of transport options already on offer at Perth Airport including Taxis, Uber, charter vehicles, car rentals, public transport and our own parking products.
Passenger access to Perth Airport has been greatly enhanced by the completion of Gateway WA, the $1 billion road project funded by the Commonwealth and Western Australian Governments,” Ms Blaskett said.
She said public transport to and from the airport is also undergoing major change.
“We are also working closely with the State and Commonwealth Government to deliver the $2 billion Forrestfield-Airport Link which will provide direct public rail access to Perth Airport.
“We look forward to working with other rideshare companies to enhance transport options for our customers in the future.”
Perth Airport offers rideshare companies the use of its facilities which include remote holding areas for drivers while they wait for a trip request and designated waiting zones for rideshare customers near the front of the terminals.
“We’ve been pleasantly surprised by the response and adoption of Ola by both customers and driver-partners in Perth in a short span of time and we are excited to start operating from Perth Airport,” Natasha Daly, Marketing Director, Ola Australia said.
“Our customers and frequent flyers now have another reason to book rides on Ola, as we continue on our journey to provide Australia with the best rideshare experience possible,” Ms Daly said.
Following a successful testing period, Ola has now commenced official operations from Perth Airport
