New Uluru charter service really rocks

Alliance Airlines entered into a Partnership Agreement with JTB in 2018, and the expansion of this Agreement to the West Coast will see Japanese tourists do day trips from Perth to one of Australia’s great natural wonders.

Perth Airport CEO Kevin Brown has joined Alliance Airlines Regional General Manager Russell Bryant and JTB’s Mr Tomokazu Inoue to celebrate the launch of this new Fokker 70 air service this morning.

Mr Bryant said Alliance Airlines had been working on creative ways to build its business out of Perth and broadening its operations to include tourism and leisure opportunities.

“JTB is one of the largest travel and destination management companies in the world.”

“Regardless of where they travel in the world, Japanese tourists want to experience a range of cultural and natural experiences.

“We’ve been able to work with JTB to give Japanese tourists another reason to visit Perth.

“From here they will be able to take a day trip to Uluru, while spending the bulk of their holiday right here in Western Australia.

“We are delighted that JTB have already committed to a number of Uluru daytrip charters departing Perth over the coming months and we are in discussions with them over further growth in tourism charters from Perth.

 “We look forward to working with JTB and other tourism partners to discuss daytrip and overnight charters to Western Australia’s regional tourism destinations.”

Perth Airport CEO Kevin Brown said the Alliance Airlines-JTB partnership further builds on Perth’s reputation as a tourism and business destination.

“Around two-thirds of the world’s population lives in Asia – most of them within a ten-hour flight of Perth,” Mr Brown said.

“It’s a huge potential market for us. This Uluru day charter service really breaks new ground for us in capturing that market. It shows what a bit of thinking outside the box can achieve.

“We’re confident this will be a huge success in attracting new Japanese tourists to Perth, particularly given the imminent commencement of the ANA Tokyo-Perth non-stop service.

“Having lived in Far North Queensland, I know that Japanese tourists love to be able to visit multiple natural icons like the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest in one vacation.

“Now Perth can offer a similar multi-destination experience with a convenient day-trip journey to Uluru, one of Australia’s most iconic landmarks, and become the natural entry point to Australia for Japanese tourists.”

“This unique flight provides visitors the opportunity to experience the beautiful city of Perth overlooking the Indian Ocean, as well as the ease of travelling over the Australian Outback to one of Australia’s most famous destinations, Uluru. 

“Moving forward we will be looking to increase the number of flights to many Australian tourism destinations and continue our valuable partnership with Alliance Airlines.”
