Energy

The Perth Airport estate is a large energy consumer, through vehicle fuel use and electricity used for lighting, heating and cooling of buildings.

The Airport develops and operates electricity supply infrastructure across the estate, to service internal and tenant requirements.  As part of its Sustainability Strategy:

  • Perth Airport is committed to investigating and implementing options to improve vehicle fuel use efficiency and energy use efficiency, whilst maintaining operational requirements.
  • Perth Airport will continue to investigate the use of renewable and low emissions sources in its overall electricity mix, including tenant uptake of low emission technologies.
  • Perth Airport will regularly review and monitor its energy use and develop an energy strategy that includes identification and cost-benefit analysis of low emission energy options.
